A strange week

Where did this week go?, it feels like it was only Monday yesterday, ah well, the weekend is nearly upon us. What are your plans? I have been busy this week, I created a caption for the image, for a bit of fun to get a free image of the winner’s choice for the best caption, and some great captions coming in. If you would like to take part you can by clicking this link

Cunard's Queen Mary 2 graced Auckland with her presence last Friday night and I managed to get a few shots of her.

I have captured 2 of the 3 Cunard Queens so far looking forward to Feb 17 to get the last one.

The weekend was spent with family, always good to see the Hearys!  With no photography until Sunday night when I met up with Cheryl and Ray Flett. I have known them both for a few years and we chatted, initially on Instagram and then onto Facebook,  it was really good to meet them and share a beer with Ray as they spent a few days in Auckland after a family wedding.

Astrophotography was on the plan for this week because there was virtually no moon all week. Wednesday morning looked good with no moon and Tuesday was a very clear day which held until the night. Wednesday 3 am I was up and headed to the satellites at Warkworth as it was a good dark sky and still not far from Auckland, I arrived at 04:05 and had left by 05:00 with shots in the bag.

A quick week in review of what I got up to, this weekend is relaxing and have a plan to do some local Astro shooting, but if my Wife Jo is reading this then I'm mowing the lawns and helping out generally :-)

Have a great weekend everybody.
